Long story short, couple days ago I put on the Nubar Purple Beach and it only lasted me less than 36 hours. What happened? I wore rubber gloves to clean my house on Friday morning (because I did not want to ruin the manicure.) When I took the gloves off, I was shocked! The tips of my index and middle fingers were ruined! The polished pulled away from the tips and was all wrinkled up (kinda like how the fitted sheet rolled up off the corners of the bed, all bunched up and wrinkled.) I wonder if it had anything to do with being in the swimming pool and hot tub, the day before. From what I heard, chlorine does a number on manicure. Anyways, I had to take it all off because I couldn’t stand any imperfection and there was no way salvaging it (that I could see.) I also took off Orly Emberstone that was on my toes.
So I decided to go with an OPI duo chrome, I Just Spotted The Lizard. It is a copper/gold/green/blue. It is hard to show all the tones because (well) my toes are not as talented at posing as my fingers. The best I could do it show you the blue and green next to each other.
What I love about this polish is the application. It is slightly sheer so needed three coats for complete coverage but it dries fast! Only took me half an hour to get the entire pedicure and I finished it off with a coat of Seche.
The metallic finish is stunning. It made my toes look like they are made of sheet metal. I like the sharpness of the duo chrome better than the Nubar. I Just Spotted the Lizard is part of the OPI SpiderMan collection, and I think it is SPECTACULAR, SPECTACULAR SPIDERMAN! (What can I say, Spiderman is my twins favorite superhero.)
